To extend their stay, Lithuanian citizens must apply to the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMS) at least 10 days before their visa expires. The application must be submitted in person and must include the following documents:

- Proof of accommodation for the extended period of stay
- Proof of financial means to support oneself during the extended period of stay
- A letter of invitation from a company or organization in Azerbaijan (if applicable)
- The visa extension fee.
